Born and brought up in Kolkata, Sunetraa completed her graduation in English honors from Amity University, Lucknow Campus. Her early experiences in volunteering with the Children's Welfare Foundation sparked her passion for making a difference in the lives of others. She engaged with communities, sensitized parents about the importance of education, and initiated activities to keep children in school.
After graduation, Sunetraa faced a crossroads: should she pursue management studies or venture into the social sector? A friend's suggestion led her to apply for the Teach For India (TFI) fellowship program, a decision that would shape her career profoundly. During her two-year fellowship in Hyderabad, she taught seventh, eighth, and ninth graders, impacting the lives of 266+ children.
Sunetraa introduced clubs in her classrooms to balance academic rigor with fun activities, making Saturdays more enjoyable for her students. Her efforts were recognized, and she was chosen as a Fellow Advisor, guiding new fellows in acclimating to the school environment.
Post-fellowship, Sunetraa continued with TFI as a Recruitment Manager Consultant during the pandemic. This role involved outreach, candidate interactions, and selections, enhancing her skills in recruitment and management. An online teaching program with Mastery further honed her abilities.

Her favorite book, "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen, reflects her admiration for strong female characters and historical narratives.

A recent trek to Magic Falls in Tamil Nadu turned into a harrowing experience when darkness fell, and she and her friends got lost. Their ordeal ended with a dramatic rescue, leaving Sunetraa with a newfound appreciation for life and safety during adventures.
