A journey of resilience, hard work, and gratitude.
2.5 years ago, on July 26, 2022, I made one of the most challenging decisions of my life—leaving behind my family, friends, and everything familiar in India to pursue my dream of becoming a mechanical engineer. With admission to Griffith University, one of Australia’s top institutions, located in the beautiful Gold Coast, I embarked on a transformative journey that changed me forever.
When I arrived, I was at my lowest—broke, sad, and battling personal struggles. But looking back now, I can proudly say that every failure, every hardship, and every late night taught me more about myself than I ever imagined. I’ve learned that resilience, self-belief, and a willingness to keep going—no matter how tough the road gets—are the keys to success.
Balancing life, study, and work was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. To support myself and pay off my tuition fees, I worked relentlessly, putting in 40-50 hours a week at various jobs while pursuing my degree. These experiences shaped me in ways I never anticipated:
Despite these challenges, I stayed committed to my studies and made the most of every opportunity to enhance my skills and knowledge. During my time at Griffith University, I had the privilege of engaging in hands-on, practical projects that solidified my engineering foundation:
One of my proudest academic accomplishments was overcoming failure in Mechanics of Materials. After withdrawing from the course twice, I gave it one final attempt with the encouragement of Professor Jeung-Hwan Doh Doug. With relentless effort and his guidance, I succeeded, proving to myself that failure teaches lessons success never will.

Today, I can confidently say I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. Every struggle and sleepless night was worth it in the end. This journey wasn’t just about academics—it taught me how to balance life, work, and study while developing skills like teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving that will guide me in the professional world.
I want to thank my family—my mom for sending me a good morning text every single day since I left, my dad for always believing in my decisions, and my brothers for their unconditional love. To my friends, colleagues, and professors who supported and guided me—thank you.
Graduating with a Master of Professional Engineering (Mechanical) is not just an academic milestone; it’s a testament to perseverance, hard work, and personal growth. I’m now looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the engineering world. I’m passionate about solving real-world challenges, leveraging the practical skills and theoretical knowledge I’ve gained throughout my academic and professional journey.
To anyone reading this: If you’re going through hard times, keep going. It’s worth it in the end. Help others, make someone’s day a little better, and remember that life is short—be happy, and make others happy too.
Now, it’s time for the next chapter. If you’re looking for someone who is not afraid to fail, who learns and rises stronger every time, and who is passionate about engineering innovation, I’d love to connect.
Let’s create something great together.
