Starting from scratch on LinkedIn can be intimidating. Whether you’re embarking on a new project or looking for motivation, it can feel overwhelming. Here’s a detailed recount of my journey posting every weekday on LinkedIn for the last 90 days, sharing the key results, inputs, benefits, and main learnings along the way.
When I first decided to post every weekday on LinkedIn, I had no idea what to expect. Starting fresh is like stepping into the unknown, but it's also an opportunity to create something new. If you need motivation, here's how it went for me.
Key Results
In just three months, I achieved significant milestones on LinkedIn. Over half of my yearly impressions were garnered in this short period. A lot of my engagements also came from these 90 days, and half of my annual profile views occurred during this time. These results were beyond my expectations and showcased the power of consistent posting on LinkedIn.
Daily Routine and Inputs
To keep my content fresh and relevant, I drew inspiration from other people's posts and daily conversations on LinkedIn. This continuous flow of new ideas helped me stay engaged and creative. I made it a habit to take notes on my phone, gathering ideas and points of view throughout the day. This practice ensured I never ran out of content ideas for LinkedIn.
Writing posts in advance was a crucial part of my strategy. I invested 2 to 5 hours each week to write LinkedIn posts for the following week, ensuring they were ready and polished. This time investment allowed me to maintain consistency and quality in my posts, even on busy days.
The Benefits
Regular posting on LinkedIn significantly increased my online visibility. People began to notice my consistent presence and engagement, which helped build my credibility. Sharing insights on specific topics established me as a knowledgeable figure in my field.
Networking on LinkedIn became a major benefit of my consistent posting. I made new friends, gained introductions, and formed business connections that I might not have made otherwise. These interactions enriched my professional life and opened new opportunities.
Moreover, my skills in building viewpoints, copywriting, and networking improved. Regularly articulating my thoughts and engaging with others helped me develop a more refined approach to communication. Real interactions through likes and comments provided natural icebreakers, making conversations flow more easily.

Main Learnings
Through this journey, I learned several valuable lessons. Videos and free resources, like giveaways, garnered a lot of attention and engagement. People appreciate tangible value, and these types of content provided that.
Personal stories with real-life photos connected deeply with my LinkedIn audience. Sharing authentic experiences made my content relatable and engaging. Jokes or memes about current events also performed well, adding a touch of humor and relevance.
Explaining complex ideas in simple words was highly appreciated. People value clarity, and breaking down difficult concepts into easy-to-understand language made my content more accessible. Additionally, it's often easy to spot posts and comments generated by ChatGPT, so maintaining authenticity is crucial.
Audience Snapshot
Understanding my LinkedIn audience was key to crafting effective posts. I have about 8,000 followers, with 70% in india, 20% in the US (and growing), and 10% in other regions. Over half of my audience works in small companies with 1 to 200 employees. Many of them (40%) are in tech guys and students, mainly SaaS and advertising, while 15% are founders, CEOs, or general managers.
Patience and Consistency: The Keys to Success
Success doesn’t happen overnight. People with large followings on LinkedIn often say it took them up to four years to go from a few hundred views per week to millions annually. This long-term perspective emphasizes the importance of patience and consistency. So, the best time to start is now.
Final Thoughts
Before making any conclusions, consider this ongoing debate: pushing (emailing) vs. pulling (posting). Both have their merits, but finding the right balance is key. For more insights on this topic, I recommend following Ajith Kumar M↗? .
