A Journey of Passion and Entrepreneurship and, why not, a LEGO Giveaway

You know how thrilled I am since I'm living this exciting chapter of my life journey. At the age of 22, I have embarked on a remarkable venture, becoming the youngest dental clinic administrator in Romania. My passion for dentistry has been with me since the tender age of 3, and my dream was to become a dentist and open my own practice. However, due to some health challenges (some of you may already know, if you read the first newsletters), I couldn't pursue dentistry as a profession. Instead, I received a €60,000 grant to establish a dental clinic in Brasov, which I proudly named PlayDent.

PlayDent isn't just another dental clinic; it's a haven designed to help patients overcome their fear of the dentist. We've incorporated several unique elements to create a comfortable and anxiety-free experience.

First and foremost, our team is exceptionally empathetic and professional. We understand that dental anxiety is real, and we are dedicated to making every patient feel at ease.

One of the standout features of PlayDent is a game I developed, "The Dentist." It's the only game of its kind, addressing dental anxiety, and it's available on my website vevegeek.com, as well as on platforms like elefant.ro, carturesti.ro, and regatuljocurilor.ro. This game serves as a distraction and helps reduce anxiety during dental visits.

We've also implemented a patient feedback form, allowing patients to express their fears and previous dental experiences. To combat the typical dental clinic smell, which can be off-putting for many, we use a powerful air freshener in the waiting area to create a pleasant ambiance.

We've invested in quieter dental instruments to minimize noise, a common fear trigger for patients. Additionally, we offer a lidocaine spray for pain relief, catering to both those who prefer anesthesia and those who don't (which accounts for approximately 50% of patients we asked).

Moreover, we started a collaboration with a psychologist who offers the first session on overcoming dental fear for free (more news about soon). Combined with the feedback form, WhatsApp conversations, and face-to-face interactions, we've engaged in over 440 discussions with individuals struggling with dental anxiety, successfully helping many overcome their fears.

PlayDent is just the beginning of my journey. We have ambitious plans, including discussions for a larger clinic close to the Bucharest, plans to open in another big city multiple dental offices and maybe even in Bucharest. I might even have a new important position to announce soon (fingers crossed).

In summary, my passion for dentistry, which began at an early age, has led me to a path of entrepreneurship in the dental field since the age of 18. I am immensely grateful for the opportunities and support that have allowed me to pursue my dreams and help others overcome their dental fears.
