Journey of a Modern Nomad III
Despite finding a new sense of clarity in his life, there was one aspect that continued to weigh on Roy’s mind - his ex-girlfriend, Sneha. They had dated for over four years before breaking up due to their conflicting priorities. Sneha wanted to get married and start a family, while Roy was focused on building his career.
Roy still thought about Sneha often and wondered if he had made the right decision by choosing his job over their relationship. One day, as he was walking past her favorite coffee shop, he decided to stop in for a cup of coffee.
As he walked in, he saw Sneha sitting at a table, engrossed in her work. She looked up and their eyes met. Roy felt a pang of nostalgia as they smiled at each other.
“Hi, Roy,” Sneha said, breaking the silence. “How have you been?”
“I’ve been good,” Roy replied. “How about you?”
“I’ve been busy with work,” Sneha said, looking down at her laptop. “But it’s good to see you.”
They chatted for a few more minutes before Roy said his goodbyes and left the coffee shop. As he walked away, he realized that he still had feelings for Sneha, but he also knew that their priorities had not changed.
Over the next few weeks, Roy couldn’t stop thinking about Sneha. He decided to take a chance and reach out to her, hoping to rekindle their relationship. They met for dinner and talked for hours, catching up on everything that had happened since they had last seen each other.

But as the night wore on, it became clear that their priorities had not changed. Sneha still wanted to settle down and start a family, while Roy was still focused on his career. It was a tough decision, but they both knew that they could not compromise on their dreams.
As they said their goodbyes, Roy felt a sense of sadness wash over him. He knew that he still loved Sneha, but he also knew that he had to let her go.
Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months. Roy threw himself into his work, focusing on his job and striving for excellence. He also started to explore new hobbies and interests, finding joy in the small things in life.
Slowly but surely, Roy began to heal from his heartbreak. He realized that sometimes, the hardest decisions can lead to the greatest growth.
Years went by and Roy found himself happily married to a woman who shared his values and priorities. They had built a life together, filled with love and companionship.
As he sat on his favourite bench of the park waiting for the old man, thinking back on his journey, Roy realised that life is a series of choices. Sometimes, we make the right ones and sometimes, we make the wrong ones. But what matters most is that we keep moving forward, learning from our mistakes and striving for a better tomorrow.
