The internet of things, or IoT, is a system of internally relating computing appliances , mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people and everything which have any kind of motion that are provided with unique identifiers and name with sensors to provide the ability to transmit data over a network without requiring connection between human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.

Introduction to IOT :

Its an ERA of M2M (machine to machine) M2M is when two machines

are in direct communication with each over some form of inter connectivity to achieve a common task or goal. Things with Internet, organizations in a variety of industries are using IoT to operate more efficiently and accurately ,with better understand customers to deliver enhanced customer service, improve decision-making , standard of achievement and increase the value and revenue of the business.

IoT has introduced from the convergence of wireless technologies similarly as artificial intelligence , microelectromechanical systems, microservices and the internet. The convergence and the competitions between this new era of generation change has helped step down the relation bond between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT).

IoT evolved from machine-to-machine communication for instance, machines connecting to each other with a network connection without human interaction. M2M refers to connecting of a device or an appliance with the respective cloud, after that managing it and collecting all the required data which can be used for further purpose.

Genesis of IOT :

We should know the genesis and bring of journey of IOT , in My first meetup of IOT i learn about this ; KEVIN ASHTON was the first person who used a terminology “Internet Of Things” when he was giving his presentation in which he wants to link the core idea and knowledge of RFID tag (Radio-frequency identification is an electromagnetic fields to capture automatically identify and track tags attached to objects with help of sensor card) . He used this term to express the supply chain procedure enhancement.

He casually put this term as a system where internet is connected to physical world with help of multiple sensors with connect with everything to express it.

We can also consider the way of IOT born , which is quite interesting to express , CISCO defines IOT by the numerical number of interconnected appliance or device across the world network and states that IOT was “Born” between 2008 and 2009 which is quite new to explore as much as we can according to this field .

As per analysis number of interacted devices over the world reached 8.7 billion in 2012 and 30

to 50 billion in 2018 which is my analysis

Evolution of Networks :

First we deals with ARPANET; then DOCUMENT SHARING; after that we proceed to DOTCOM, Social Network Era and atlast we reach to IOT(Internet of Things).

We can say, It's a kind of ecosystem of interconnection objects that enable sensor and multitude of devices to share information via using different type of trendy technology such as sensor and analyse the data using software based tools there by introducing operational effectiveness , accurateness creating command over time .
