As we move towards the lighter nights and official summertime, thoughts turn to some well-earned time off (even if it’s a long weekend), I feel compelled to record and share some thoughts and feelings for those who may be interested in the ACA journey and what is coming next!

Over the course of a few articles (who knows how many because when I started writing I simply couldn’t stop). This stuff is too important to keep quiet about! 

Opportunities for people who haven’t found their path yet?

Values, thoughts, feelings, behaviours, actions and beliefs – it’s all coming together! At a time of a life changing pandemic when many want to stay small and safe (and I say that with the greatest respect and out of love for each and every one of you), I’ve taken some really bold actions. Exciting!!!!

This series of articles is about my truth, I simply can’t hold it in anymore – the people whom we work with will change lives. This is what gives me goosebumps. If you are reading this and struggling to fit in because the recruitment/headhunt industry doesn’t see you as the ‘corporate fit’ you may want to continue reading the series, maybe you are questioning if recruitment is for you at all? It’s not all about recruitment though. If you have experienced or are currently experiencing mental health issues that are slowing down your enjoyment of your life/career maybe these articles will ‘call to you’. I do hope you enjoy reading as much as I’m enjoying writing them.

One of my ‘trusted advisors’, and from now on I will refer to people as part of my Tribe helps me to see that working towards a life/goal can be much better for me than working away from something – an example…… this very morning I mentioned that I was starting this series and it was putting myself right out of my comfort zone – he challenged me, as he often does, he said what about what you are walking (or knowing you, running towards), this resulted in a paradigm shift for me and the way I present the information. For the purpose of people coming to know me and my story, and still interested in more, I will refer to the past, however, purely for context. Please know I am skipping towards a journey not constantly running away from the path I’ve trodden already.

Whilst I could (literally) write a trilogy right now, I appreciate that my values led friends and friends to be you won’t have time for that in your working day however if this has piqued your interest then check back in. Follow me, dare to comment or even IM me, we may both have everything to gain from it.

A taster of what’s to come. 

Apart from 35 years enjoyment from a pedigree recruitment/headhunting/business coaching background, I’m happy to share whatever you may want to know there’s the legacy business that’s in formation where we form a conduit between mental health and people who have been detained under the mental health act and their either return or entry into the workplace. 

The essential support and guidance of a close ‘tribe’ and how we can help to create this around anyone who needs it. That safe space where everyone can feel supported and authentic.

Does that ‘speak to you’ in anyway. If you are following me I believe it may well be of interest, as a great comedian (Miranda) says ‘bare with.........’ we will get there ??
