Many times, it felt like a Super Mario game. We had a builder mindset, resilient to jump across roadblocks to move to the next level, many times at the expense of sanity.?

Level 1 was leaving our comfort zone and start Anghami?because we just wanted to listen to Music !

Level 2 was 3 February 2012, our first shareholder agreement for a $1M round between 2 investors. At the last moment, one investor vanished! We were losing the game. Luckily, MEVP?stepped up and committed the full round, and we moved to the next level

Another level was convincing the artists, labels & users that streaming made sense. That you shouldn't give out music for free, that digital is the new world and that paying monthly for a music subscription wasn't a scam!

An important set of levels was to build the platform, and it had so many roadblocks that I can't even remember the nights. We learned to innovate by iteration to build a tech platform that rivals others with billions of funding - while having very very little.

I can't BUT remember one important level on on 3 March 2021, when Shuaa Capital committed to the pipe to fund upcoming IPO goals with VMAC.?

I stopped keeping track of game levels, but 10 years exactly after that first investment: 3 February 2022, we crossed a new level: we boldly went to where no tech startup in the Middle East got before. Our labor of love, tears & passion is now on the market in New York.

Whatever the next level is, I know my team & I will always stand tall & beat the odds by being customer focused and constantly innovate to fill the gaps that exist in the ecosystem.
