I love Robin Sharma...
I am not only a fan,
I am an admirer of Robin Sharma...
I read almost every book written by him.
In fact, my life's first ever self-help book I read was,
"The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari"
So, I read this book in 2005
Robin Sharma has been always an advocate for waking up early.
Not only early, in fact specifically waking up at 05:00 AM.
Just recently he wrote a book as well on the same subject called, The 5 AM Club
Now, whatever rituals and life fundamentals Robin Sharma has described in his books, I have tried to implement almost every one of them and many of them I follow religiously.
Accept this waking up at 05:00 AM, Why?
Because I never believed that I can do anything in my life but waking up at 05:00 AM is an absolutely impossible task for me.
But, then from 1st Jan'19, I decided to achieve 6 packs abs body because I strongly believe,
Being physically fit is as important as being mentally fit.
To achieve my goal of 6 packs abs, I joined a gym.
Due to certain responsibilities like,
- Waking up my baby in the morning for school
- Reaching office on time
- Daily other routines
Now, at this moment of time, I had two choices, whether to go the gym in the evening time (indirectly I was avoiding to wake up early in the morning) OR else give up my goal of 6 packs abs.
I decide not to quite and give a shot for waking up early.
My best of the best time for waking up early in the morning was 06:00 to 06:30 AM and that also on some of the days only, not daily.
I was in a big dilemma.
My conscious mind was scaring me continuously but my subconscious mind knew that if I'll keep pushing myself I can do it.
The first day I woke up at 06:00, the second day at 05:50 and then I went for 2 days office tour.
I returned home after driving almost 400 km and the very next I had to hit the gym.
I took a chance, I kept an alarm for 05:30 AM.
Out of my imagination, my subconscious mind had overpowered my conscious mind. I literally woke up at 05:25 AM. I was like WOW...
And then today also when I am writing this article, I woke up at 05:30 AM effortless.
Now, my next target is to start waking up at 05:00 AM and to become a member of that 05:00 AM club.
The only and only reason behind writing this article is to make people aware of three things,
- Waking up early is one of the most beautiful gifts you can ever give to your own self
- You can become the best version of yourself, once you start waking up early because then you'll get the chance to have that heartfelt conversation with your own self
- Waking up early is not at all an impossible task, it's just mindset. If I can do it, I think anybody in the world can do it.
One more message I would like to convey is if you are reading up to this line, you must have got some value through this article so I request you to provide your valuable feedback in the comments below.
I have also created a WhatsApp community called "Fellow Human Beings" which is nothing but a platform where you can share your thoughts without having any fear of getting judged. To join this community just drop me a message on my WhatsApp no 9825346066.
