Journey of Friday at Bacancy with Ashish Koshti

It has been a while since I have been working with Bacancy, or calling this Bacancy House my other home would do more justice! People often start getting blues from Sunday evening to Monday; in my case, it is different. I feel a sense of unease when the weekend approaches, as I find the weekdays at Bacancy to be more stimulating and fulfilling.? In the past, I have enjoyed working from home thoroughly, but this new workspace of Bacancy has taught me things such as collaboration and communication. And here, things are different on Fridays. Let me get you through the fun ride of Fridays at Bacancy. Fasten your seatbelts and enjoy!

So the journey of my happy adventures starts at around 9 am; when I enter the office and log in to my system, Making a to-do list and prioritizing tasks is the first thing I do in the morning. After that, I start moving slowly towards the day until the tea arrives, It often surprises me how a sip or two of this beverage work like magic. I get the required energy with this morning's tea and a few offbeat conversations with colleagues. Now I am ready to kickstart the day.

My enthusiasm for work always stays on another level, especially on Fridays. I wait for 11 am because it's the time when I get to meet my teammates for a regular standup. The standup is when we explain daily tasks and obstacles if we face any. I am curious to know how creatively my team together comes over every obstacle. Grateful for having such innovative brains around me who help me salvage the situation every time. After this energetic session, I return to my desk with an invisible DND board. These tasks often include a few calls with people and getting the content for social media purposes.?

When the clock hits 1 pm, my stomach starts making starvation sounds. I crave hot food and gossip from my team. I especially enjoy this time as this time is when I get to talk with my team wholeheartedly. Mainly this session wraps up in half an hour, and there comes the urge to finish the pending tasks before time so I can get more time to have fun. During this duration, I work on the current strategies and gather analytics.?

Till 4, the mood constantly says work-work-work until the “Ek Garam Chai ki Pyaali” song plays on the speakers of the premises. It plays the role of a reminder of the “Panchaat session”. The session aims to keep people away from their work and work desks for a while so that they can enjoy their evening tea and get back with more energy. I didn’t know taking a small break could affect this much until I attended these sessions. Every Bacancyer gathers on the ground floor and enjoys the team while gossiping with their team. The ground looks magnificent with the orange-black t-shirt Bacancyers wear on Fridays.

Now it's time to get back to work; it is when the floor has mild music, which helps me go on with work. While doing these pending tasks, I ensure I do not push anything on Monday and don't get buried under a pile of work. It lasts until 6.15 pm, and it's time to log off from work and say it's the weekend.

Well, my weekend starts from Bacancy only as I run to the GameZone to play cards and carrom with my people to welcome the weekend's relaxation. This period is what I crave more. The environment of the top floor of the Bacancy house is entirely different from other days. I lose track of time and get lost in the maze of these privileges Bacancy provides.?

Here ends the extraordinary-looking but regular Friday of my work life. While keeping an eye on the work, Bacancy also makes sure we enjoy every part of being in this organization. Every Friday here is a FUN-FRIDAY.
