In the modern days Paleo and different kinds of diets are designed to keep us healthy and the intention behind this concept is Good
But there are things that you should know before you get into these form of diets :
No :1
Foods are designed by our ancestors for a reason . Example , in south india its idly ,dosa and upma and in north india its chapathi and in other countries its different. every food has its own reason to emerge based on climatic conditions and region we live etc. Its not designed just like that...
These foods are easy to digest and nutrients dense too.
Example idly: Idly is an excellent source of protein due to Urad dal and yeast formation in the patter which supports greater digestion.
I got your question now ?
If it is so healthy ? Why I am facing mal nutrition?
Its the balance and adulteration. Not only food keep us healthy. Being healthy is wholesome."The Whole" Meaning " Mind " "Body " and Soul"
Any imbalance between these three causes disease.
Body needs physical exercise. Our ancestor was eating these food at the same time indulged in lot of physical activity in day to day life. But we in this new gen , was pushed to advancement of laziness and this is the cause for disease.
"EAT WHAT YOU CAN BURN" . EAT MODERATE EVEN IF IT IS THE TASTIEST FOOD IN THE WORLD.
NO :2
Don't confuse the digestive tract with crash diets all of a sudden. Our digestive tract has memory of food that we eat from ancestors of the ancestors of the ancestors. If we change our pattern of food all of a sudden, our digestive system will get confused and end up absorbing no nutrients.
We should gradually replace the pattern of food knowing " What we eat" .We should ensure that we eat nutrient dense food but in traditional way.
No 3:
In the name of diet , Don't eat fruits and vegetables that are non local. It will be loaded with preservatives. Local fruits in your region is always the best to consume .don't try to add imported cheese Yogurt fruits and vegetables as part of a diet that may not go well with our body
No 4:
we don't need a gym always to lose weight. Ground exercise and mindful eating can do magic in losing weight...
No 5:
if you have a habit of stress eating Don't completely avoid it you, will end up carving. I instead replace junks with peanuts, some sprouts or millet biscuits so that you ensure even in stress eating you eat something healthy ??????
No 6:
I have sweet carving and whenever I wanted to satisfy that ,I take one teaspoon of honey not white sugar based sweets. White sugar mix with the blood so easily compared to jaggery and other sugars.
No 7:
Most importantly whatever food you eat, ensure you chew so well in the mouth, so that it not only helps your digestive system but also helps less eating and helps avoid bad fat accumulation
You can find the below post written by me and edited by my friend to understand the digestive system and how it works
