A Journey To Creating Authority Power

Thirteen years ago this week, I launched my business. This journey sometimes feels like a lifetime, yet there are still days when I feel like a newcomer to the entrepreneurial world.

When I first started, I kept reminding myself of a sobering statistic: only one in ten businesses survived their first two years, and just 40% reached the decade mark. Today's landscape is even more challenging – merely 35% of businesses reach their tenth year, and only 25% celebrate their fifteenth anniversary.

Yet I remain grounded. Each year, I approach my work with the same determination as I did on day one. One key to my longevity has been investing in authority power – now my signature program in my business.

Authority power creates a clear pathway for prospects to connect with you, positioning you as the undisputed expert in your field – making the decision to work with you absolutely clear-cut.

The foundation of authority power rests on two interconnected concepts:

Your community is the wellspring of your power. Your authority stems directly from your audience, who validate and renew it through every interaction, every piece of content they consume, and every time they turn to you for guidance. This is a profound responsibility.

True authority emerges from maintaining a learning mindset while leading others. In our rapidly evolving technological landscape, every industry demands constant adaptation. Knowledge acquisition and sharing aren't just beneficial – they're essential for building lasting legacy. By viewing our professional journey as a climb with no summit, we embrace continuous growth and learning.

While I'm proud of what I've achieved – becoming an international author and speaker, helping businesses generate over $1.5B in revenue, and guiding countless individuals to become the go-to authority – I know this is just the beginning of my story.
