The Journey Continues...
Although this is the first issue of my LinkedIn newsletter, it’s really just the next chapter in a mission I’ve been on for a while now: sharing what I learn about entrepreneurship and documenting my own experiences along the way.
About a year ago, I published an article titled "A Journey Towards Impactful Content Creation." The inspiration came as I sifted through my endless bullet lists of article ideas, thinking about what to publish next. A thought struck me: Why do I keep reading articles from the same writers? They don't necessarily have the best diction in the world or follow a standard formula, yet their content is so sticky. Why?
To summarize what I wrote in the article, I was drawn by their authenticity. I could surely find thousands of Google pages on the same topics they write about, but their personal views added a little spice that couldn't be replicated—every article literally feels like they're talking to me.
Since then, I decided to stop trying to sound polished and just be myself in every article. It’s been a process, but over time I’ve gotten better at dropping the robotic tone, being more vulnerable, and letting my thoughts flow.
This newsletter is the next step in that journey. As I continue engaging with entrepreneurs and readers, I’ll share my personal views on the most intriguing questions that come my way. My contributions will often explore how common challenges faced by African entrepreneurs—such as scaling with limited resources, finding investors in underdeveloped markets, growing through hyperinflation, and navigating issues like over-taxation and currency devaluation—are being overcome in other parts of the continent.
I want to cut through the generic advice and get real about what works—right here, in our reality.
