With the number of people wanting to know what I am actually doing in Madinah, it is time to share... Bismillah.
At the end of 2016 I moved out of Brand786 (the company I founded and lead for close to 7 years) and after forming a board I now sit on the board. It has been an incredible journey building and leading Brand786. Alhumdulillah we have seen such a degree of success that I never would have imagined, our global team now is over 30 full time staff in 4 offices. I have left the company in very capable hands with my brother at the helm in the UK and business partner Abdulelah in KSA, both whom have the drive and vision to continue taking Brand786 to new heights and I am looking forward to seeing that success.
I knew around 12 months ago that I would be stepping back from Brand786 at the end of 2016 and so I started to reflect upon where I would go next. My passion for ethical business, travel and impacting lives led me to found Maarij Capital - Group of Companies, a company that ISA over the coming years will through business and enterprise impact thousands of people, with employment, empowerment of skills, global opportunities, impact investment and trade.
Our focus is in emerging and developing markets and our mission is to connect the East to the West through consultancy, Islamic investments, trading and ventures, driving opportunities to entrepreneurs and companies in the west who want to work on a global level and to help entrepreneurs and companies in emerging and developing markets penetrate Western markets with trust and security.
This is the reason why I have made Madinah our HQ because the values that this beautiful and incredibly blessed city represents is what I want Maarij Capital - Group of Companies, to live and breathe. I want the people who represent Maarij Capital - Group of Companies, to be people who embody the values of this great city and appreciate the history of the people who served and sacrificed here. My ultimate vision is to grow Maarij Capital - Group of Companies, into an organisation that slowly but surely changes the world, one life at a time ISA.
