Its starts by a journey with a difference between the growth marketing and the traditional one, it’s all about the funnel but how to know more complete reading to know.

Marketing Funnel is a big piece of the cake in any marketer journey but always the tradional marketing focus on brand awareness only in the other side the growth one focus on the all inter funnel how to make growth and where he can enhance his or her efforts, Also growth is different in the process not only the way of thinking but if you have the ability to apply a copy from another business routine so this tradional. What about the growth?


Growth is focus on the testing and experiments more than applying a by case study in the market or in another company whether in the same market or in different industry.


Growth marketing is always read the numbers and statistics not to qualify the testing process not just a most creative idea will win, the team of growth always care about more conversions or customer experience or a data driven to know more about the target markets or the audience.

According to the lean startup methodology, defining hypothesis up front us about what customer wants finding the fastest and effective way to test that hypothesis design experiments that can validate data whether positive or negative. So why negative?!

Actually you at least learn and not investing heavily and know to never try it again because you have a bad results in specific period of time by this resources and the current customer behavior so the experiments may give positive results but in different inputs, so the same approach applying in the growth marketing whatever the start point which is we are at the current state of the business and our long-term objective is to reach a specific point whatever that metric could conversion targets, number of acquisitions ….etc.


So you now have two ways to achieve your objectives the first is the traditional one which is investing everything in one idea and you have no idea if it may be good and reach your target or you will loss all the budget and resources in this idea, the other way is the growth you will test different types of ideas to know what the customer want and what they don’t want.


Its starts with the metric or the objective you want to increase or achieve retention rate or decrease in bounce rate so called it growth hacking and that is true too, business owners thinks that they will hire growth team to find a hack that will save his business but that is totally wrong growth hacking is a group of hacks in a big process that lead to a successful business in a period of time.

Marketing analysis is the way we measure throw the idea may be good but we can measure the success with the validation and the validation comes with the numbers and the number comes from the test and experiments, so the most critical branch in my opinion is the analytical branch you can loss or win from the analytics and the decisions will be take according to the number and test results not in marketing only but the business too, business process is a danger way so try to be safe as much as possible by the results and you will be safe more if you can read the numbers will and know which KPI you will measure for this campaign and which not useful then the start point will be easy to lunch it always take care or numbers.

For me and my experience I am worked on as a growth hacker in a small project and I need to make a hack or some new things that can drive more traffic on website so I use the email lists to make a segments from audience to know more about each persona and what they need to know then I starts to send a personalized emails with education content offering a free documents and e-books, in the beginning of the test period the results looks normal and we realized that the audience is very old and the targeting not in the right way so we decide to make a new ads to attract the right audience and the results from time to time increased and filtered and make the traffic in the website increase.

3 ways to make a successful growth marketer is:

-         Channel level expertise

-         Analytical capability 

-         Leadership – strategic minder

The important thing that is most valuable than the previous 3 ways is the passion and how is your power that can make you learn faster than others to reach a goal or be a part of growth team

To start your career in growth please focus and make sure you understand well, in the first you need to choose one from the previous 3 ways to interact the market of growth choose from the most one you like it to get better in it from time to time and to easy start and find a good opportunity to work.


About me I started my growth journey from lead magnet process and how to attract and make a lead magnet and the beginning copy-writing that the customer will see and the media buying process and how to report and optimize the funnel whether top or middle or bottom of funnel.


So now start to make a road map ending with a first job of you growth marketing career, and start with the easiest branch for you to get a job and start your journey in growth marketing field, if you have zero experience I recommend to start reading any article related to marketing to have a data base related to the field, then start to take a more knowledge in a branch like email marketing or community management or lead magnets process.
