journey was born 2 years ago

two years ago on 11/8 twenty of us gathered to talk about creating a publication that shared a message of hope about recovery

we had lots of ideas, lots of energy and lots of passion about consistently, boldly and loudly celebrating freedom from addiction and talking about recovery

journey was "born" that night and 4 months later we had 10,000 copies of issue #1

so many things have happened and journey has evolved

people have left, people have joined

i personally have made mistakes and have had some successes but i've learned a TON

our 'brand' has been updated to reflect us more accurately along with a new website as we've evolved quite a bit with a changing world

recently we added a youtube channel and are now able to help people share their story in their own words and soon will add a interview type podcast

we're now working on issue #12 - and with this issue we'll start expanding into New Hampshire

along the way we've had to make some decisions to stay aligned with our core values and mission; decisions that hurt us in some areas and strengthened us in others

we've stayed true to our values of inclusivity and optimism and never once wavered from our mission

our mission is to amplify hope and celebrate freedom from addiction because visible recovery saves lives

i'm thankful for everyone who has been involved with the magazine and those who continue to show up with their passion and energy to do this purpose-filled work

so grateful.
