I remember days when my body screamed in protest, yet my mind was engulfed in societal norms that equate self-worth with ceaseless work. In this narrative, I want to take you through my personal journey, a battle not just against physical pain, but against ingrained beliefs about productivity and self-worth.
It was a typical morning, the stiffness in my joints more pronounced, the fatigue overwhelming. Yet, the world around me didn't pause; it demanded constant motion. This societal norm, which idolizes work as the ultimate measure of worth, often left me feeling inadequate. I realized that many of us are entrapped in this cycle, where rest is seen as a luxury or an afterthought, not a necessity.
