A Journey Back to Simplicity

A Journey Back to Simplicity

When was the last time you truly thought about yourself?

Not in the rush of deadlines or the responsibilities of daily life,

but just as you—the person before the roles, titles, and expectations took over? It’s so easy to forget who we were before the world began telling us who we should be.

Can you remember a time when you felt genuinely happy?

Maybe it was climbing trees and feeling the wind rush through your hair.

Or perhaps it was playing marbles with friends, a simple game that filled you with pure joy.

Do you recall how your heart raced with excitement as you plucked fruits from a tree, savoring the sweetness of both the fruit and the moment?

What about the little, carefree things—emptying your friend’s tiffin box just to share a laugh, spilling a drink and not caring, or singing for a school event, thinking that the world was your stage?

What happened to that joyful spirit?

When did life start feeling like a checklist of responsibilities and deadlines?

Let’s pause for a moment and go down memory lane.

Think of those moments when you did things just because—not to please anyone, but for the sheer love of it.

You didn’t worry about being perfect. You didn’t feel the pressure to succeed or perform; you just lived.

This connection with the past—those moments of simple joy—holds the key to reconnecting with yourself.

Ask yourself:

What brought me joy before the world told me what to do?

What small moments of childhood laughter can I bring back into my life today?

Life doesn’t need to be complicated.

Revisit those simple joys.

Reclaim the childlike wonder and start reconnecting with your true self.
