Journey

Hey friends, I hope you had a great weekend and you’re having a productive and fruitful start to your week! Well, this past week I traded firewalls for interior and exterior walls. Yep, the move to real estate is official!

It was at times both a challenging and easy decision to fully transition to real estate. Our family, our tight circle of friends and our community at Riverpoint Church prayed that this was something God was leading and calling our family to, and ultimately we obeyed His calling for us. We’re excited and couldn’t be more at peace!

As I was preparing and discussing my move to real estate, friends often referred to this venture as a “side gig” and I can’t blame them for doing so, but they missed the mark. Our family’s goal and what we feel God is calling us to is real estate full-time and for the long haul. I’ve recently realized how strong my gift and desire is for connecting, investing, and serving people. I’ve always known it was a part of my personality and passion but, I didn’t realize how much it motivated me to fulfill my purpose. Real estate allows me to most naturally and effectively fulfill my realized purpose by helping and guiding people in making some of the most impactful decisions for their family.?

Also, who doesn’t love the character, the ins and outs, and the details of new, not new, not old, and old houses? Alright, I’m sure some people don’t appreciate them as much as others, but I’m glad I do have that passion. I can thank my wife, Alex, for “building in” the nuances and love for crown moldings, penny tile, and built-ins (you’re welcome for the pun). Our house will be celebrating 100 years in 2024, and I’m glad Alex had the vision for our cute little house because I sure didn’t. If you struggle with vision, ask me for before and after photos, I dare you! I would love to help you visualize perfection in imperfection.

So where did I land (another real estate pun)? Upon completion of my studies and exam I only had one brokerage in mind: LEAGUE Real Estate in Fort Worth. I’ve followed their success and story through countless social media posts and numerous friends that have joined their growing team over the last few years. Truthfully it’s been fun the last week or so meeting so many of the people I feel like I already know through Instagram. I even joked with my wife about meeting so many IG famous people in the office.?

But it wasn’t just about me picking LEAGUE, they also had a big decision to make: In an ever-changing industry, would they take a chance on a fresh agent? Yeah he knows a few people here, but he’s so new. Totally get it.?

I’m grateful they felt I was a culture-fit and saw the drive I have to succeed and ultimately serve people well. Yeah, I’ve mentioned how I followed them on social media and how sharp their marketing is and how it blends extremely well with me as a person but, their commitment to being good humans and serving people well is why I’m here. And it’s why I’ve texted my wife “I’m so grateful” every time I’ve entered the office.?

It’s weird to be out of the technology space since I’ve lived in that world since college but, the relief and peace within our house since the change has been felt- it’s been amazing. We’re grateful in advance for the support and encouragement, and I look forward to sharing stories with you soon! And I’d love and be thankful for your help as I embark on this journey, whether that’s connecting me with a friend, or helping you buy/sell an old, new, not old, not new home. Thank you!?

God is way too good. #ReadyToServe
