Welcome to 2023 July edition of our newsletter.
June 2023 was somewhat a quiet month at the Journalism Academy as we prepare to launch our Podcasting course. The selection committee has already selected 12 excellent participants for the course beginning on July 16. Interlink Academy's trainer Ms. Brigitte Hagedorn will facilitate the course. The first batch of the podcasting course will conclude on September 8, 2023.
The second batch of the podcasting course will start on September 17, 2023. For more details, email to [email protected]
On June 6, 2023, Communication Registrar for Bagmati Province Mr. Rewati Prasad Sapkota visited the Journalism Academy and discussed state of media training in Nepal with Director Ujjwal Acharya and trainer Umesh Shrestha.
Meanwhile, our trainer Rishikesh Dahal conducted two focus group discussions for his research on information manipulation in Nepal at the Classroom in June and July, 2023.
Our director Ujjwal Acharya conducted two sessions on Multiplatform Journalism to sports journalists on July 2 and 3 in an event organized by the Nepal Sports Journalism Forum's NSJF Academy. He was also invited by the Bagmati Province Youth Council to speak on "Social Media: For You & Your Work" at the Provincial Youth Summit attended by 150+ youth leaders from 13 districts.
