Activities in February 2024

  • Training of Trainers 2024

We have trained 12 new journalism trainers. From February 25 to March 1, 2024, these 12 participants learned knowledge, skills and attitude of modern training and adult learning with Interlink Academy's Erik Albrecht.

Congratulations to all! We look forward to team our new trainers with experienced trainers in upcoming courses so that they can master the skills.

  • Data Driven Journalism Course update

We received 173 applications for data driven journalism course. That's the highest number of applications we have received for any course so far. Thank you all for applying - and our selection committee is working hard to select best of you. We feel sad that we won't be able to train all applicants but we look forward to welcome as many of you as possible for the course.

  • Advisory Committee meeting

Advisory Committee meeting on March 2, 2024.

Our advisory committee met on March 2, 2024 at the Classroom, Journalism Academy. They also invited Mr. Erik Albrecht, who had just completed Training of Trainers, do hear about the course and challenges. Our advisory committee include: Mr. Dharma Raj Bhusal (who was not present in this meeting), Mr. Prateek Pradhan, Prof. P. Kharel, Ms. Upasana Ghimire, Mr. Werner Eggert and Mr. Tilak Pathak.

  • Evaluation and Planning Workshop / Staff Retreat

We also organized a staff retreat along with the "Evaluation and Planning Workshop" at Sauraha, Chitwan on February 20-21. The Journalism Academy team and Interlink Academy Director Werner Eggert spent two days evaluating activities and performance in 2022/23 and planning for 2024/25.
