Spring is sprung in the northern hemisphere.? Below the earth’s belly, autumn is cooling southern latitudes.? In the first vernal episode, we tour the wilds of Florida.?

The sunshine state abounds with water.? Creeks, natural springs, rivers, bays, inlets an ocean and a gulf.? It’s easy to find your beachside happy place down this way.

Summer in the sunshine state can be uncomfortable unless you have air-conditioned surroundings.? That said, spring is an ideal time to visit Florida.

Also, we bring a second road trip song set.? Solo adventures and expeditions to wild spaces familiar and unknown deserve a soundtrack on our way to a journey in the great outdoors.? III. Slow Travel – Florida Style

Abundant natural springs offer a cool watery wonderland in the summer and a temperate outdoor activity in the winter months.?

The gulf coast is less populated than the Atlantic seaboard.? For a slower pace, and abundant green nature preserves, the west coast of Florida is a slow life superstar.

Florida is home to the oldest permanent old-world settlement in the United States.? Decades before the Virginia and Massachusetts colonies, the Spanish founded a settlement in the St. Augustine area.? Tour the explorer period landmarks in and around town.

The Florida panhandle is an excellent destination for sun seekers who treasure lazy beach days and calm seas most of the year.? June to November is hurricane season, check the weather reports before booking your trip OR make sure you have a trip cancellation policy by the hotel or house rental agency or a separately purchased insurance policy.

South Florida is known as a party place.? There are still incredible natural wonders a short distance from the all night raucous club scene.? The Everglades is home to the elusive and endangered Florida Panther, dozens of birds.? The grassy swamp land is also home to alligators and crocodiles, a rarity in the big wide world.
