Josefina Loza Honored at 2024 Women on a Mission for Change Legacy Gala
The Lozafina team warmly congratulates our founder and CEO, Josefina Loza, on her recognition at the 2024 Women on a Mission for Change Legacy Gala on Friday at the DC Centre.
Women on a Mission for Change?(WMC) strongly commit to empowering women and girls to reach their highest potential and emerge as community leaders. Through its annual Legacy Gala, WMC celebrates the achievements and impact of women who have positively shaped their community.
The black-tie event also advocated for WMC’s Women Influencing Girls (WIG) Mentoring Program. Designed for girls ages 13-18, the WIG program provides a nurturing environment where “dreams take flight and potential knows no bounds.” The program entails commitment to monthly sessions, achievement of personal and academic goals, engagement in developmental reading and activities, graduation from high school, and participation in the WMC Conference.
This year's Legacy Gala honored eight iconic women who have substantially contributed to different areas in their community and whose leadership has left a lasting impact.
"I want to express my sincere gratitude to Gina Ponce and the Board for hosting this amazing event and to Cris Hay-Merchant for her thoughtfulness in nominating me.?
?This award reflects not only my own journey but also the dedication of the mentors, colleagues, and community members who have supported and inspired me along the way. My work has always been driven by a desire to amplify voices that deserve to be heard and to build bridges within our community.?
Receiving this recognition is a powerful reminder that these efforts resonate, and it only strengthens my resolve to continue this path. Thank you again to Women on a Mission for Change for this honor and for all you do to uplift and inspire. I am truly grateful." - Josefina Loza.
Lozafina applauds our remarkable founder and the rest of the incredible women who were honored that night; your passion and dedication do not go unnoticed.
