Jordan Brand to Open a Flagship in Milan

Jordan Brand will soon open a flagship?store in Milan.?

This month, the Nike-backed namesake label of NBA icon Michael Jordan will open World of Flight?in the city.?In an email sent to FN, the company said this is “a new pinnacle retail concept dedicated to the Jordan Brand.”

World of Flight, according to the brand, “is the future of Jordan retail” and was described as “a destination to celebrate the legacy and future of basketball culture.”?

Birkenstock Opens Fourth US Store

Birkenstock has opened its fourth company-owned store in the U.S.

Located at 1019 Larkspur Landing Circle within the Marin Country Mart in Larkspur, Calif., this store follows the openings of the footwear label’s first three U.S. company-owned retail stores in?Brooklyn?and SoHo in New York City and in Venice Beach, Calif.

According to the German brand, the store’s design embodies the rich history of the brand and features core materials of cork, felt and leather coupled with white oak to create a bright, refined and naturally comfortable space.

Naot Opens SoHo Flagship

Israeli footwear maker Naot has taken a major step to expand its presence in the U.S. market with a new flagship store.

The comfort-focused brand last month opened its first New York City-based flagship (its second store location in the U.S.). The new shop is located in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood, at 436 W. Broadway and is primarily meant to build brand awareness among consumers in one of the city’s busiest shopping destinations.

“We think it’s a great marketing piece for the brand,” Naot U.S. president Ayelet Lax Levy told FN in a preview of the store in October. “It’s a great presence.”
