New York, NY - WellStat is pleased to welcome Jonathan Gritz as Senior Vice President of Energy Solutions.

Jonathan joins WellStat with more than 15 years of leadership experience and an extensive background in energy management, real estate operations, and sustainability. As SVP, he will help manage the company’s programs, guide platform development, and expand WellStat’s organizational capabilities to help customers implement operations-based energy efficiency strategies.

“We are thrilled to have Jonathan join the team,” said Chris Ziccardi , CEO of WellStat. “I’ve worked with Jonathan for many years when he was a customer. As a customer, he identified numerous ways we could improve our platform, including new types of visualizations, strategic ways to create alarm parameters, and innovative measurement and verification tools that we hadn’t seen in the market. I expect his leadership will strengthen our business across the board.”

Prior to joining Wellstat, Jonathan spent 13 years at Vornado/Charles E. Smith, subsequently JBG SMITH. He managed the company’s energy conservation programs and also oversaw its Tenant Service Center, a 24/7/365 mission critical operations center at the heart of JBG SMITH’s engineering operations. He was a core member of the senior engineering operations team, overseeing 20+ million SF of office and multifamily real estate. His team controlled the HVAC operations across JBG SMITH’s portfolio, selecting startup times, monitoring and managing building alarms and equipment performance, programming HVAC sequences, and overseeing real time energy and IAQ performance.

At JBG SMITH, Jonathan innovated novel ways of dissecting energy use to pinpoint operational HVAC opportunities and continuously measure building energy performance. “I’ve looked through the energy data of WellStat’s customers,” said Jonathan, “and I’m seeing significant operational energy saving opportunities that can be harvested on day one. I’m really excited to build onto WellStat’s great platform and bring something new to the market that’s designed so engineers and property managers can easily capture operational energy savings.”

Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Yeshiva University and a Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University. He lives in Washington, DC.
