RESPONSIBILITIES:?Major duties and responsibilities are summarized below.

Sweeps, mops, strips, scrubs, waxes, polishes floors and cleans carpets. Wipes mirrors, metal doorplates, bathroom and kitchen fixtures, and all metal fittings. Cleans showcases, entrance doors, activity spaces/classrooms, doorframes and switches, paper towel dispensers, and other surfaces as required. Cleans glass partitions, inside and outside windows, and uses stepladders and extension ladders to change light bulbs, replace blinds, and wash walls. Dusts, waxes and polishes furniture. Dusting furniture, equipment, and surfaces will not be done within the reach of children. Empties and washes trashcans.?

Inspects grounds, including removing trash and debris, and notifies supervisor of safety hazards. Maintains restrooms in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition. Cleans, disinfects and deodorizes lavatories. Replaces deodorizers, toilet tissues, hand towels, and soap. Reports water leaks, clogged drains and other conditions requiring repairs to supervisor. Sweeps sidewalks and parking lots.

Operates powered cleaning equipment, cleans and oils equipment, and changes brushes and accessories.

May be required to move, set-up and/or rearrange furniture, as well as, set-up and break-down for special events. Responsible for complying with security, fire and sanitation rules, policies, procedures, and regulations. Knowledge of a variety of chemical and cleaning agents. Skill to use a variety of household and industrial equipment and attachments. Skill to operate, clean, and make adjustments to powered cleaning equipment. Physical ability to move furniture, lift and move objects over 50 1bs, walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, and possess strong interpersonal communication skill. Moderately heavy physical effort is used occasionally in moving, setting up, and working from?ladders. Use of heavy powered cleaning equipment (e.g., wall washers, industrial-type buffers) is occasionally required. Uses vacuum cleaners, dry mops, light weight powered scrubbers and buffers. Work involves standing, bending, stooping, and reaching, frequently lifting and emptying wastebaskets, and occasionally lifting and moving objects weighing over 50 pounds (e.g., scrap and trash cans, crates, parts). Occasionally, may be required to deliver merchandise equipment and supplies to other CYP sites.

WHAT ARE PREFERENCES??Preferences are advantages in the candidate selection process. Individuals can claim the following preferences:

1. Reemployment Priority List (RPL): Qualifying separated employees shall have priority placement in the NAF activity from which they were separated as a result of a Business Based Action (BBA), when the position has substantially the same duties as the position from which they were separated and it is not a higher grade or employment category, provided the position is not being filled by an internal candidate. To claim this preference, you MUST:

? Submit a copy of your BBA Separation Notification indicating eligibility for RPL.

2. Military Spouse Preference (MSP): Qualifying spouses eligible for MSP are spouses of an active duty military member of the U.S. Armed Forces, including members of the National Guard or Reserves on active duty. The marriage must have occurred before the military member received official permanent change of station (PCS) orders to Guam. MSP is applicable only when applying for NAF positions at the NF-03 and below and equivalent craft and trade (CT) positions. To claim this preference, you MUST:
