Joint consultation on new regulations for the Heat Networks sector closes on Friday 27 October

Reminder that the DESNZ/Ofgem consultation on the new regulations for the Heat Networks sector closes on Friday 27 October at 11:59pm. We are consulting on our proposals for the new regulatory framework, which heat network operators and suppliers will need to comply with, including rules on:

  • disproportionate pricing by heat networks
  • the quality of service and support for vulnerable customers that heat networks will need to provide
  • the types of heat network that will need to comply with the new regime.

?

Your response to the consultation will help ensure that the new rules will work for suppliers, operators and consumers. As such, it is key that we get input from across the industry, from small heat network operators and landlords to large Local Authorities, ESCOs and metering and billing agents.

We encourage you to have your say, this is your opportunity to help inform process and policy on performance, quality assurance and customer satisfaction.
