Join us in welcoming Rushil to the Data Minded Team!

Hi everyone, I am Rushil, and I have recently joined the Data Minded team in the role of Data Engineer. I studied electrical & biomedical engineering in my home country of South Africa, before moving to Belgium to pursue a master's degree in AI at the University of Leuven. Since then I have been working for 4 years as a data engineer & business analyst.

I had heard about Data Minded mainly via word of mouth - whenever the name was mentioned someone would always chime in with words along the lines of “Oh Dataminded, that's a good place”, such a positive reputation in the market interested me in seeing it for myself and through each stage of the interview process and getting to meet the team my confidence in Data Minded only grew.

During my first weeks at Data Minded I focussed on improving my knowledge by training for, and taking certifications from AWS and GCP as well as learning about state of the art in the industry - throughout this process I have found my coworkers to always be open and happy to help and share their knowledge.

Outside of the office I take off my engineering hat and put on my artist hat. I love drawing and painting and recently have dabbled in sculpture. Lastly, as I am South African, remember to ask me about rugby.
