Join us at the Sweetheart Ball!

In just a few short weeks, we will once again be hosting one of my favorite events of the year – the Sweetheart Ball! Our 31st Annual Sweetheart Ball will be held on Saturday, February 8th, 2020, at a NEW LOCATION - the Delta by Marriott hotel in Fargo. We have been blessed with amazing supporters so this year our venue is new and bigger than before!

Aside from a fun-filled night of dinner, donating, and dancing, this night is vital in continuing our mission to keep families together during times of medical crisis. When parents find out their child is critically-ill in a city far from home, they may feel upset and scared as they don’t know where they will stay. That is where we come in. In 2019, we were able to give 469 families a home away from home largely due to the funds raised at the Sweetheart Ball that year.

This year, our keynote speakers are Melinda and Luke Davidson; a mom and dad whose baby needed to be rushed to Fargo from Menahga, MN due to a need for special care when he was born. Their family found themselves unprepared to be in Fargo with a baby in the hospital. They had no time to think about what they needed, but when they arrived at Ronald McDonald House they had just what they needed: comfort, support, and a place to call home for 17 nights while they focused on their son while he healed in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

When a family stays with us, there is a suggested amount of $20 a night, but no family is ever been turned away for inability to pay. Last year, 76% of our guests paid nothing to stay at our Ronald McDonald House. When you buy a ticket to the Sweetheart Ball, you are supporting the families of 2020 who come to us unprepared, scared and looking for comfort.

We invite you to join us in supporting families by purchasing your ticket to the Sweetheart Ball on February 8th, 2020 at https://www.rmhcfargo.org/events/sweetheart-ball/. Sponsorships are still available too.

Looking forward to having you join us!
