You may have heard that there’s major change coming to the way we make landline phone calls in the UK.
Right now, the chances are, if you use a landline your call still travels up and down an old copper phone line.
We may be living in a digital world where the internet can give you almost anything you want at the swipe of a screen, but old copper phone networks are still very much part of our everyday lives.
But not for much longer.
Across the UK, there are plans to replace and upgrade old copper phone networks with new fibre networks.
As part of Humber Business Week, KCOM would like to invite you to an overview of our Digital Switchover Programme and demonstrate what it will mean for our business customers.
The overview will include a behind the scenes tour of our Civic Exchange, at our head office on Carr Lane.?The tour will enable people to see first-hand the current copper infrastructure and understand why we need to switch from copper to fibre.
The sessions are free to attend and anyone is welcome to visit. Our KCOM customer champions will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have on the day.
