Join Us on Monday (with Special Guests!)

This Monday, November 20 at 11:00 am Pacific Time (2:00pm Eastern), we will be hosting a live listening session here on LinkedIn to discuss our upcoming book Neurodiversity for Dummies, which will be published by Wiley Publishing as part of their "For Dummies" brand of books. Publication is set for March 2024, but you can preorder your own copy today.

This is more thank just a book for us - it's a mission. We believe in building a more neuroinclusive world, where every person is valued for who they are and their unique contributions to society recognized.

To help us do that, we want to hear from you. That's why we're holding this listening session on Monday, November 20. The depth and authenticity of "Neurodiversity for Dummies" will be enriched by the voices of the very community we seek to serve. So, join us on Monday, November 20 to share your thoughts on what you would like to see in a book about neurodiversity.

To help guide our conversation, we are excited to welcome four special guests. The are Shannon Des Roches Rosa , Eric Garcia , Daniel Hodges, JD , and Steven Kapp . Let's tell you a little bit more about them here!

Shannon Des Roches Rosa the senior editor and co-founder of Thinking Autism. She writes about autism and parenting for The Washington Post and Spectrum, among other outlets. She is the parent of three neurodivergent humans—all of whom are all now bigger than she is.

Eric Garcia is the senior Washington correspondent for The Independent who authors its 'Inside Washington' newsletter. He previously worked at The Washington Post, The Hill, Roll Call, National Journaland MarketWatch.

Dan Hodges is the president and founder of the Pieces of Me Foundation, which works to eliminate stigma associated with disability, physical difference, and chronic illness. Dan is also a consultant and design thinker. He specializes in topics of accessibility and inclusion as well as health equity.

So, join us on Monday, November 20 to share your thoughts on what you would like to see in a book about neurodiversity. We're not looking for just affirmations or nods of agreement. We want the hard truths, the unspoken challenges, the overlooked successes. While we may not be able to get every concept shared with us into the book, we hope to include as many of them as we can. Your experiences, needs, and hopes are the lifeblood of this project.
