A New Michigan Wish Journal Limited Series

As the nation’s most trusted nonprofit, we at Make-A-Wish Michigan are reaching out with a heartfelt request. Each year, more than 800 children in our state are diagnosed with critical illnesses, and many of them are waiting for a wish—a transformational experience that can bring hope during some of the darkest times.?

To help in understanding the impact of a wish, we invite you to join us on the journey of one of our incredible wish kids, James. Over the next six weeks, we’ll share his story—from his diagnosis and hospital stays to the wish itself and the joy it brought his family, medical team, and community. This series, Journey of a Wish, will highlight the life-changing power of a wish for not just the child, but everyone involved. So without further ado...please Meet James:?

All of our Michigan wish kids are just like James. They love to play, explore and be around their family and friends. But their diagnoses and hospital visits can put all of that on pause. When a child’s wish is granted, it’s more than just a gift; it brings hope, joy, and strength in the midst of their critical illness.
