Next up, IBM will be giving the Keynote Presentation on “Continuous, proactive application performance with IBM IT Automation: Ensure resources and licensing are aligned to your support critical business applications” by Oved Lourie, Global Field CTO with IBM Turbonomic.

Today's applications and deployments are getting more complex and challenging to manage. Shifts in application demand lead to poor experience and cost overruns. Dynamic shifts in application demand can lead to performance issues and license cost overruns. Asset usage can change on a second-to-second basis and IT and finance must be aligned to ensure that the organization can best meet its financial and technology needs. IT leaders are turning to AIOps and intelligent automation to enable IT Operations at the pace of business and customer demands. Join our session to hear leading strategies for AIOps. We will cover IBM’s unique approach to enable proactive, continuous application performance, including the latest integrations enabling IT to streamline IT license control and application resource optimization. Discover how to balance operational efficiency and cost, while enabling exceptional customer experiences with every interaction.

Snow Software, will give a presentation on “The Truth is Out There” by Jay Litkey, Executive Vice President, Cloud Management with Snow Software. FinOps can often suffer from “too many cooks in the kitchen", bogged down by conflicting stakeholder agendas and opinions. Despite the divisions that created from these varied views, FinOps teams can empower their stakeholders and banish the bureaucracy by providing cross-functional access to trusted, quality data. This is the connective tissue and required culture for any leading FinOps practice.

In this session, Jay Litkey, Head of Cloud Center of Excellence from Snow Software, will present real world case studies of how to leverage data from a proliferating number of sources (e.g. cloud bills, CSP tooling, DevOps pipelines, application telemetry, ITAM systems, etc) to align a diverse set of stakeholders and maximize the business value of cloud.

Following that, Sonatype, a Disrupter Presenter, will speak on “Open Source Developers Are Security’s New Front Line” given by Alex Plattel, Solutions Architect, Sonatype. Bad actors have recognized the power of open source and are now beginning to create their own attack opportunities. This new form of assault, where OSS project credentials are compromised and malicious code is intentionally injected into open source libraries, allows hackers to poison the well.  In this session, Sonatype will explain how both security and developers must work together to stop this trend. Or, risk losing the entire open source ecosystem.

Then, BitSight, will give a talk on “From Prevention to Reality: Building a Cyber Resilient Organization” given by Shyam Venugopal, Group Product Manager, Integrations and Strategic Partnerships at BitSight. Strong cybersecurity is critical in the digital economy to create trusted, resilient organizations. But as the pace of digital transformation accelerates, the attack surface and vendor footprint within organizations has grown rapidly. Faced with greater exposure and more sophisticated cyber attacks, it is no longer possible for security leaders to “prevent” cyber breaches.

Security leaders must shift their focus from prevention to resilience to thrive against greater exposure and more sophisticated cyber attacks. A focus on cyber resilience empowers organizations to build stronger cybersecurity programs, protect assets and reputation, and thrive in this new paradigm. But where do you start? How do you know what KPIs to measure? How do you compare against your peers?

Next is Privitar, with a presentation on "What is Modern Data Provisioning and Why Does Your Organization Need It?'' given by Richard Schechinger, Principal Sales Engineer at Privitar. Today’s leading businesses operate in a data-driven and privacy-conscious world. To outperform your competitors you must take advantage of insights that come from data. By using data appropriately, you can gain customer trust all whilst enhancing your reputation. This success comes from using data responsibly and innovating relentlessly while mitigating privacy risks and demonstrating trustworthiness.  All of this underscores the importance of taking a modern approach to data provisioning.

Modern data provisioning is the combination of people, process, and technology to streamline an organization’s responsible use of data. Within this session Richard will be walking us through why it’s crucial we enable everyone to maximize their use of data.

Following that, Source Defense will present on the topic “Addressing the Blind-Side in 3rd Party Risk, the Client-Side” given by Matthew McGuirk, Solution Architect, Office of the CTO with Source Defense. With all of your focus and investment on 3rd party risk management, there is likely still a blind-side that remains unaddressed. It is an area that should be moved to the top of your priority list - both for its potential to cause material losses in the form of response costs and fines and judgements, and for the ease in which it can be mitigated. It is a risk introduced by the 3rd party vendors you rely upon (and the nth parties they work with) to power and enhance your website. The threat of JavaScript based attacks - click-jacking, digital skimming, formjacking, defacement, "Magecart" - exists for any organization collecting sensitive data or conducting transactions through their web properties. Attacks of this type have done damage to some of the biggest brands in the world - costing household names like British Airways tens of millions - and they happen by the hundreds per month. Already in 2022, we've seen headlines of major client-side attacks like the one that hit Segway - potentially impacting nearly a million consumers.

This is an area of exposure introduced through your own code, and by your partners, that can only be addressed at the client-side. It remains widely unaddressed, as focus in website security to this point has been on securing the server side.

Join us for an exploration of the threat of these attacks, real-world examples of the material impact they have caused, and dialogue on the approaches to mitigating this risk with pros and cons of each.

Kicking off the afternoon we have SUSE giving a presentation on “Cloud-native Security and Compliance Strategiesgiven by Anthony Tortola, Technical Sales Specialist with SUSE. More and more container environments are going into production where there is sensitive data to protect, and PCI or other types of compliance needs to be ensured. In a cloud native environment, traditional security tools don't provide the visibility and protection your enterprise needs. And today you need to protect not only the runtime environment but your entire software supply chain. So cloud native security starts with the build and test phase and extends to runtime protection to protect against zero day exploits. With a full stack of protections from vulnerability scanning, compliance scanning, and admission control, to runtime scanning, threat based controls, and zero-trust controls, SUSE's NeuVector can protect all your containerized workloads from threats at every point in the development, deployment, and production.

Next, Opsramp will speak on the topic of “Don't Anguish. Automate!” given by Philippe Vincent, COO of Opsramp. Managing modern hybrid environments at scale is tougher than ever before. IT teams struggle with achieving unified visibility into their environments and with automating their operations. The complexity and velocity of change has grown beyond human scale to manage effectively.

With OpsRamp, operations teams can harness Hybrid Observability, AIOPs and Automation, all from a single platform, to save time and resources, improve their service delivery, and automate!

But with up to 2B rows of data per day from over 40 digital brands, 40 partners, and 200 data sources, there simply weren’t enough data engineers and BI experts to help the team quickly aggregate, normalize, and govern their data to create trusted insights.  Learn how Meredith turned a barrier to growth into a revenue driver by using automation. They created a unified strategic data asset that’s central for decision making, and engineering efficiency.
