Why Tiny Forests?
Tiny but mighty, these forests are designed to thrive in small urban environments. Within a few square meters, tiny forests enhance urban biodiversity, help reduce urban heat and offer an incredible opportunity to strengthen community cohesion.

News from our planting sites
We are getting excited. Winter is almost upon us, and our major planting is about to begin. In partnership with community groups, local landholders, and other organisations, we will plant mixed native species across the country to repair degraded land, restore biodiversity, and capture carbon.
Check out the map below to find out where we’ll be planting.
A critical part of our work is ensuring the long-term success of our planting projects. This means regularly returning to our planting sites to monitor growth and survival.
This Autumn, we conducted monitoring assessments at eight of our project sites. The results were extremely pleasing, particularly given the hot, dry summer experienced at many of our sites.

In the news
Carbon Positive's Porongurup planting site made it to Channel 7 regional news this month. In partnership with local landholder Jack Shiner and revegetation expert Dr Geoff Woodall, we are restoring this 20-hectare site with a biodiverse mix of native trees and shrubs to provide food and habitat for a range of local fauna, including the endangered Honey Possum.
Earlier this month, Louise Tarrier (CEO at Carbon Positive) presented at the Western Australian Landcare Network’s ‘Revegetation on Farms’ webinar. The webinar topics included the wider benefits of revegetation on farms, planting methods, practical challenges and a case study. Louise also discussed how landholders can partner with Carbon Positive Australia to restore their property with native trees and shrubs.
