Join Us at the European Fair: Celebrating 20 Years of Malta's EU Membership

As Malta gears up to mark 20 years of its membership in the European Union, an exciting event is on the horizon that promises a vibrant celebration of this milestone. The European Fair, scheduled for May 1st, 2024, at the picturesque Ta' Qali National Park, is set to be a day filled with cultural richness, community spirit, and reflection on Malta's journey within the EU.

Organised by CORE - Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Social Responsibility, in collaboration with the European Parliament Liaison Office in Valletta (EPLO Valletta), the European Commission Representation in Malta, and the Ministry of European Funds, Equality, Reforms and Social Dialogue, the European Fair embodies the essence of unity and cooperation that defines the European project.

At the heart of the event lies a tribute to Malta's integration into the EU family, underscoring the shared values of democracy, unity, and solidarity. Against the backdrop of the newly restored Ta' Qali National Park between 10am and 5pm visitors can explore a variety of family friendly activities, interactive exhibits, live music, food stalls and much more.

A notable feature of the European Fair will be a morning address by the President of the European Parliament to EU citizens residing in Malta, emphasising the significance of citizen engagement in shaping the future of Europe. Additionally, the presence of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) will provide a platform for meaningful dialogue and interaction with the public.

As Malta embraces this momentous occasion, citizens and visitors alike are encouraged to partake in the festivities and experience first hand the spirit of European unity. The European Fair invites individuals of all backgrounds to come together, celebrate diversity, and reflect on the collective achievements of Malta's EU membership journey.
