Today we will bring you an hour of engaging and insightful content as we look at the root causes of child poverty in London and the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. We will be joined by top expert speakers including Ed Balls (former Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families), Dr Jenny Gibson (Senior Lecturer in Psychology and Education at Cambridge University) and Laurence Guinness (CEO, Childhood Trust). We will hear first hand about the challenges from a Rotherhithe Headteacher and a Brixton Community Centre Manager and will share how The Childhood Trust is enabling wide scale crisis recovery support to ensure that children are emotionally and physically ready when school resumes.
