Our Leadership Advisory Council (“LAC”) is a subcommittee of the Make-A-Wish Michigan Board of Directors, with a commitment to supporting and promoting the overall mission of organization through fundraising, volunteer recruitment, raising awareness and engagement of community members, and promoting the professional development of Michigan’s next generation of leaders.

Organizing and promoting LAC activities helps to provide vital funds so that Make-A-Wish Michigan can reach its goals of granting over 500 wishes to eligible children across the state. As a group we believe that whatever the odds, whatever the obstacles, wishes would find a way to make the world a better place.??

What you need to know:??

• LAC members serve a maximum of a six (6) year consecutive term: initial terms are three (3)?years, and active members can renew for an additional three (3) year term.
• Leadership positions are two (2) year terms.??

Qualifications include:

• Being between the ages of 24-40
• Actively working
• Has leadership experience.
• Involvement working with or volunteering for a non-profit organization is beneficial.
