Hello Bold Leader,
I’m reaching out to share some exciting news.
I’ve decided to take a stand. That’s what BADA$$ leaders do!
The past year has been fraught with highly visible, deeply saddening challenges for African American Women in leadership.
We witnessed CEO Roz Brewer step down from the helm of Walgreens.
We witness Claudine Gay step down as Harvard’s President.
We learned of the death by suicide of Antoinette “Bonnie” Candia-Bailey, a Lincoln University administrator.
And there are more who either stepped down from leadership to save themselves or died struggling to do their best.
Whether you agree with the facts behind each of these situations, one thing is clear: it’s difficult – if not impossible – for Black women to be successful in leadership roles. (And there’s data to back it up. I’ll save that for another time!)
And I’m here to attest as a Black Women Leader that this is true!
So, I’m doing what I can do, as a BADA$$ Black woman, former corporate executive and now founder and CEO.
