Hi again,
The response of the rugby community to the news about Doddie has been overwhelming.
I am honoured to play a small part in the fundraising efforts and wish to thank everyone who has got in touch with support, however big or small.
This really is the time to strike while the iron is hot and ensure we all pull together to raise as much money as we can.
Tables for 'A Night of Laughter' on Monday 6th November 2017 at Battersea Evolution, are selling fast, so if you would like to attend, please check out all the information at www.fireballshop.co.uk/Doddieinfo.
There are a range of packages available, starting at individual tickets for the event, right through to premium sponsorship packages.
The event will be hosted by Gabby with lots of very special faces from the worlds of sport and comedy. Guests will enjoy a drinks reception, three-course dinner, entertainment and an after-party. The night will include a number of fundraising activities including a live and silent auction.
For those that are not aware, Doddie recently announced he had been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease and his ambition is to devote his time towards assisting research and raising awareness and funds to help support fellow sufferers, through the Doddie Weir Trust.
If you have not seen the interview Doddie did with BBC Scotland last month, I would ask you take a few minutes to watch it. It will truly reinforce just why this event is so important and just why Doddie is such an inspirational figure to support.
Doddie was first capped for Scotland against Argentina in 1990 and went onto earn himself 61 caps for his country. He was also a member of the Scotland squad who won the 1999 Five Nations and part of the winning British and Irish Lions tour of South Africa in 1997. Doddie played for Newcastle Falcons for the majority of his career with 97 caps, winning the 1998 Premiership Title. Beyond all of these achievements, however, Doddie fundamentally is one of the nicest, most loyal teammates you could ever wish to have.

Thank you in advance for your support and I look forward to seeing you there!
Cheers,
Kenny
