Hi there,

I'm Karen Rands, and I’m passionate about redefining capitalism to create wealth and drive innovation while making a positive impact on our world. As a nationally recognized expert on angel investing and entrepreneurial growth, I’ve spent decades helping entrepreneurs succeed and investors thrive.

I’m the author of Inside Secrets to Angel Investing, a best-selling finance book that serves as a primer for anyone interested in leveraging private equity investment for passive wealth creation. I’ve recently launched The Compassionate Capitalist Wealth Maximizing System?, a digital course designed for new and committed angel investors to master the art of investing in innovation.

My expertise is rooted in years of experience as the Managing Director of the Network of Business Angels & Investors (NBA&I), where I led the charge in screening, prepping, and positioning entrepreneurs for success. Through our efforts, we facilitated over $50M in investments at our monthly pitch events and annual conferences. Now, with my firm, Kugarand Capital Holdings, I continue to support entrepreneurs in securing the capital they need while helping investors mitigate risk in their portfolios.

On a personal note, now that I am a true empty nester since my daughter is ‘adulting’ well in Savannah, my husband Jim and I enjoy tooling around in our golf cart in Peachtree City, GA, kayaking at sunset on Lake Peachtree, gathering with friends for live music, and always and whenever possible, heading to the beach.?
