Join me in exploring life as a trainee at Rosewood Phnom Penh

Rosewood Phnom Penh is the place where I started my journey and where I am developing my abilities. I can’t believe it’s been almost a year already since I started as a trainee here. In the beginning, I was part of the Talent & Culture team. Working alongside them was truly inspiring and I learned a lot from them. While this isn’t my first job, it’s truly a remarkable opportunity to really kickstart my career with an internship at Rosewood Phnom Penh. Starting with no prior knowledge of the HR field, I was able to grow and develop my skills in ways I never thought possible. The Talent & Culture team is amazing and it was an incredible journey that allowed me to conquer my fear of public speaking thanks to the support and encouragement from my team. They pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and allowed me to take a role in the “Grooming Presentation for the Perfect Discovery” training program during my last three months. Because of this opportunity, I have been able to enhance my communication skills, refine my problem-solving abilities and overcome my social anxiety. I am immensely grateful for the valuable lessons and personal development I gained during my time with T&C.

My goal and perspective are to find the right career path. However, it is not enough for me to simply gain more knowledge and face more challenges to satisfy myself. In my pursuit of finding the right career, I feel I have been brave enough to step into another field to find my true passion. After careful consideration, I decided to become a Communications Trainee for an additional six months. Throughout my time here, I have been working in the realm of social media and digital marketing. Collaborating with the highly dedicated Sales & Marketing team has been an absolute pleasure for the past four months. I am very appreciative to have had the opportunity to be trained by such a dynamic team in the field of digital marketing. With their expertise, they guided me through various aspects of digital marketing, equipping me with invaluable skills and strategies. I am truly grateful for their guidance and support, as they have undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping my understanding. Because of them, I have been inspired to develop more confidence and not hesitate to gain more knowledge.

My commitment, if I could continue to work in this five-star hotel, would be to seek out more challenges to face, and I do not worry about what those challenges would be, even as a trainee in the Rosewood family. I have no doubt that I can overcome any challenge without hesitation.

Every minute with Rosewood Phnom Penh has been invaluable.
