I’m sitting here today on March 1st with lots to celebrate!
I recently entered The Australian Small Business Champion Awards in the Business Coach category.
I don’t reaaaaaaally think of myself as a business coach, but it was the closest category they had.
Yesterday I discovered that I’ve been selected as a finalist! ?? ??
I feel pretty immensely proud as I know its a highly sought after category and they got many entries!
It’s ALSO The Deeply Satisfied Woman ’s 13th birthday this month! ??
To celebrate my business birthday and being selected as a finalist in the awards, I’d love to share some of the highlights from the story of how The Deeply Satisfied Woman came to be what it is today - this was my answer to one of the questions in the awards entry - followed by a DANCE BREAK!
In 2008, as a young and (perhaps overly) ambitious equestrian athlete, I had a significant horse riding accident.
I was fortunate to walk away relatively unscathed physically, but mentally and emotionally I was not the same. A friend and mentor recommended I explore some empowerment and performance coaching, so in 2009 I had my first taste of personal development and my life transformed.
In the years that followed, I experienced SO much growth from harnessing the power of my mind, that I wanted to offer this gift to others, and in 2011 I did a Certificate IV in Coaching for Life and Business.
I completed the first part of my certificate in March that year and began looking for clients. A few months later it became obvious that the majority of people I was attracting to work with were equestrian athletes - I had naturally begun working with those who had suffered an accident and needed help with confidence OR those who were competitive riders and wanted to perform at their best under pressure.
This first iteration of my coaching business was called Think Forward Coaching.
In 2012, I was the mindset and performance coach to Australian Paralympian Joann Formosa throughout her campaign to the London Olympics where she won a Gold Medal. Jo remains a friend to this day, and this was undoubtedly a highlight of my career!
I was my own best client, using my peak performance tools to take me all the way through to competing at international standards in the equestrian sport of Three Day Eventing, up to two grades down from Olympic level.
I pursued my sporting career alongside my coaching business, and was a sought after blogger, speaker and educator at Equestrian events around Australia and overseas until early 2016 when I went through a life altering experience of burnout.
I was 28 years old at the time and devastated to feel like my life was falling apart around me despite how hard I'd worked. At that point, I made the choice to give up competitive horse riding, and allowed my life to change in dramatic ways.
I began to expand the types of trainings I attended, going beyond mindset and peak performance, and getting educated in the body and nervous system, understanding trauma, how it’s stored and how to work with it, relationships and sexuality, spirituality and the feminine mysteries.

These new trainings, and the healing I was experiencing after burning out were informing the work I was doing with my clients and the type of clients I was working with - my business was evolving with me!
In 2022, I began the exciting process of re-branding! For the first time ever, I engaged a designer, copywriter and web development team as well as doing a large professional photoshoot with an amazing group of women to help me bring ‘The Deeply Satisfied Woman’ to the world.
This re-brand culminated with the launch of my website, www.nicolestewart.coach in conjunction with International Women’s Day in 2023, which was actually more like re-launching my business itself!
I love working with ambitious women because I AM one - I have a keen understanding of what holds women back from loving themselves while achieving greatness in business and life.
I've now worked with thousands of incredible women across 4 continents, from dentists and radiographers to lawyers, athletes, SME leaders and corporate professionals, and I'm deeply proud of the personal and professional transformations I help them create.
SO!? Please join me in celebrating it all - the award, the business birthday and the journey along the way - with a DANCE BREAK!
I’ve recorded a short video to guide you through a simple movement practice to break up your day!? I love to dance and its SO good for you! ????
Finally, do you like Chocolates and Flowers?
Silly question, what woman doesn’t!?
In the background, I'm building and about to launch a bunch of new things to continue supporting, championing and empowering more women around the world. I want to make sure the messaging aligns with the women it's meant for, and I'd love your insight.
If you're a woman working in corporate or medical at any level, a business owner or an aspirational woman with important goals; help me help you, as the saying goes!
This will take under 5 minutes if you’re quick, or a bit more if you like sharing details.
I'll pick one entry out of a hat, and send some lovely chocolates and flowers as a thank you! ????
Here’s the link to get to the questions - https://nicolestewart.coach/helpmehelpyou/ - AND please share this around with other inspiring women you know!
Happy Friday everyone, thank you for Celebrating with me! ??
