I wrote the below last month after spending a few hours contemplating the artwork on the largest neolithic art collection in the world at Newgrange, Ireland. The ancient spirals have long been with me even before I knew they were etched into those rocks 5,000 years ago. As I look out at our world and our country, I think communities of people that long for real change are the only solution to our existential challenges. I hope you enjoy the below.

What comes next, and why won't it come faster? I have this life mission, penned in 2018, and sometimes it feels to me that I'm no further along than the day I wrote it. Perhaps that's because God's (Universe, Great Spirit, Energy) time spirals, and my time feels linear. I feel like I'm always in transition. Admittedly, it gets tiring after a while.

For some reason, this time, I'm being asked to transition parts of my expression, and I'm not sure why or how. My deepest fear is to live a life underneath the thumb of power, live someone else’s life, or live a life dead inside. My greatest joy is to perform my best, purest, and highest work, and no one even knows my name. I'm not afraid to be known; it's just not necessary to do the work.

To me there’s so much irony that the Angel With No Name brought a baby into the world that was eventually blinded and pushed a grain mill for his captors. Perhaps this mythical spiral tells two stories at once: a story that requires the dark so that light may be seen. My greatest joy might lie in going through my deepest fears.

I'm lucky, though. I can see in the dark and have a soul-pack with me. Some of us rest in the dirt by the fire, back to back, watching out for the community. So, what am I watching for exactly, as I spend my time as a scout on the edge of my community? I suppose I'm looking for the new myth, the myth that will save our souls and evolve humanity. A myth that will drive people towards love and purpose, a myth that will be the salve to our lonely hearts.

I need help, though. I need others. I'm lucky enough to have a few I trust. I need thinkers that can help me soar higher, because no one can soar higher than they are able to think. I need people that would be fine dying tonight because they know the only time is now and that they are living on borrowed time. I need people that are unstoppable warriors with an indomitable spirit, warriors of love.

We have limited time. The Earth will move, the cosmic cycle will continue; some will return tonight, and some will come back anew. The Great Cycle is unconscious; it will devour everyone in the end. Now is our moment as we walk this Earth with the gift and curse of consciousness.

To my soul-pack and my future community, as far as what you'll get from me, you'll get a promise to continue this work, my work, God's work, until my breath one day returns to nothing but air.
