I’ve recently co-founded The FOXG1 Research Group under the Blackswan Foundation to get to clinical trials for the severe neurological condition my daughter Amara was born with. She can't walk or talk and will likely suffer from a lifetime of seizures.

This research is groundbreaking, and the most innovative work I have ever done. Why? FOXG1 is one of the first and most important genes in human development – it is connected to many disorders like Autism, Alzheimers, Schizophrenia, brain tumors and more. Scientists globally are betting hard on this gene due to early success in trials. With the explosion of gene therapies and small molecule therapies there is much hope.
