We are looking for enthusiastic local government digital people to join our steering group. You’ll help shape the future of the network, and get stuck into making things happen for and with our members.

LocalGovDigital is the membership organisation for digital practitioners in and around local government. We run a lively online community, and host in person and virtual get-togethers, such as our much beloved?LocalGovCamp.

We share problems and solutions, and work together on collaborative projects that make local public services better. We want to do more in the future, and need the support of a strong, dynamic steering group to set the direction and help to make things happen.

By joining our steering group, you will:

• Have the opportunity to really make a difference to the world of local government digital
• Get your voice heard and the opportunity to make your ideas a reality?
• Get to hang out with some really cool people (it says here)

We are looking for people who:

• Have a passion for local public services
• Have opinions on what good digital looks and feels like
• Have ideas on how collaborative action amongst practitioners can make a difference to the sector

We want our steering group to be motivated and active. However, we are aware that people are extremely busy. We ask that steering group members commit to at least?4 hours?of LocalGovDigital activity a month, which could involve:

• Participation in our online community
• Attendance at steering group meetings
• Attending LocalGovDigital events
• Leading and participating in collaborative projects

We very much value diversity and inclusivity and really want our steering group to reflect the community we represent. We therefore would welcome expressions of interest from people of all communities, backgrounds and abilities.
