Join The Circle. #17
Hey there ????,
Welcome back. It's the 17th edition of The Circle. Let's get into it.
This week's (and probably the next few) will focus on the Shopify Summer '24 Editions.
If you're not familiar with Shopify Editions are twice-a-year updates from Shopify that highlight new features, tools, and improvements. Think of them as big announcements where Shopify tells merchants about the latest and greatest things they can use to improve their online stores.
Please remember, that everything in this newsletter aims to help Shopify merchants succeed. Even the offers we're promoting.
Shopify Markets
Shopify Markets
One of the standout features is the reimagined Markets. This update is a game-changer for store owners looking to expand their business across borders, into B2B, or even in-person selling, all from a single, easy-to-use location in Shopify admin.
They say to think of it as your business’s command center, where you can control and customize your operations without needing an advanced degree in Shopify settings.
What does it mean for you (potentially)?
Expanding to a new market?
From one dashboard, you can create a new market (they used the UK as an example) and set up a custom catalog and pricing for it.
For instance, if certain products are more popular in the UK or you need to price items differently due to shipping costs or taxes, you can do all that from within the Markets hub.
You can also customize your store’s theme to better appeal to your UK audience. This might include using British English for all your text, featuring UK-specific promotions, or highlighting products that are particularly relevant to UK shoppers.
In-person selling made easier
Those using Shopify POS can now manage pricing and product availability for different retail locations directly through Markets. For example, you could mark down prices for your U.S. outlet stores or ensure only your best-sellers are stocked at your flagship store in New York.
B2B expansion simplified (for Shopify Plus)
Shopify Plus merchants will also find Markets beneficial for expanding their wholesale business. You can customize your store theme for each B2B market, making it easier to cater to different regions and client needs.
