What is CASCAIDr?

CASCAIDr - Centre for Adults’ Social Care, Advice, Information, and Dispute Resolution?- is a well-reputed online charity that guides people through the labyrinth of legal principles governing adult social services in England and Wales. Our expertise extends to the ways these principles work alongside rights to NHS services, including mental health services and aftercare. We help individuals to navigate the legal framework when it isn’t being complied with, so that they can secure the essential care and support to flourish in their everyday living, education and roles.

Our mission

We support the sound administration of community care rights and funding for individuals grappling with mental ill-health, physical or sensory impairments, or disabilities. We’re dedicated to raising legal literacy among emerging leaders and early or mid-career professionals in social care and health, as well as through public legal education.

Did you know?

There is no direct appeal against social services or clinical decisions in these sectors - only complaints - or litigation in the Administrative Court or a mental health tribunal. We’re here to make everyone aware that knowing more about the area of law we’re experts in, is central to people’s experience of health and care processes and packages. We have the passion and the experience to work out how best to teach the principles to people with different learning styles and experience of different aspects of the health and care world.?

About our courses?

We invite you to immerse yourself in our live online courses, which are designed to enrich your understanding of the legal framework and embolden you to make better informed decisions.

Whether you are a social care services or CHC recipient, caregiver, social or legal professional, advocate, supported living or care home provider, complaints manager, or home care agency, our courses will enhance your confidence and knowledge so that you can challenge the increasingly brutish decision-making culture in the public sector, whether from inside or outside that system.

Praise from our previous course attendees

“This course was my beacon in the night; I can’t thank you enough.”

“This course is just the beginning of learning. Even with evidence, the ‘mother’ is dismissed. It is shocking how hard it is to be heard but, thanks to this course, I succeeded when I raised a complaint. Good to meet so many online and hope to keep in touch. Thank you Belinda and CASCAIDr!”
