Johnson Controls Navy Systems Employees Enjoy the Fruits of Their Labor

Several of our 江森自控 Navy Systems team members recently had the honor of visiting Naval Station Norfolk and touring the USS New York (LPD 21), as part of the Navy Shipbuilding Industrial Base Task Force?Connect Suppliers to the Fleet?initiative. Employees were also able to tour either the USS New Hampshire (SSN 778) or the USS Porter (DDG 78).

Participating employees appreciated the opportunity to visit working Navy ships, interact with sailors from each of the commands, and see how the sailors live on ships that they played a part in building. One particularly poignant moment occurred when a Weld Instructor saw a co-worker’s weld stamp on the installed equipment stating, “I’ve been waiting for this moment for 30 years – thank you.”

These engagements are not only great for our team, but also provide an opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to serving the US Navy and its mission.

I had the opportunity to attend the same tour in Norfolk earlier this year with DRS. We got to see a few examples of our equipment installed in the field and it was very cool. It definitely brought the work we do to life.
