Legend is a well-known host on singing competition shows. His latest venture brings him into the book business; Zando has joined forces with him to launch Get Lifted Books, his own imprint.

As we sit together in the Savoy's Royal Suite - a hotel room boasting plush Gucci furniture and an opulent view over London - he explains how he came to write a song called "Love". He describes it as a love story between him and his children, a beautiful reminder of the power of faith during trying times and the beauty that can arise when giving someone else a chance.

As we converse, it becomes apparent that he's more than an artist; he is a human being with feelings and opinions on the world around him. In our conversation, he shares candidly about his struggles with drugs, addiction and suicide as well as how he has overcome those demons and developed a more authentic sense of self.

Last year, Legend shared an interview with Jay Shetty explaining why he and West had decided to part ways. He said they "didn't understand each other" during their time working together and their differing political opinions ultimately caused the end of their friendship.
