John Kassir

Finally, let’s look at the voice of the 2nd Buster Bunny, John Kassir. He played Buster Bunny in 4 episodes of Season 3. John Kassir was born on October 24th, 1957. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland to an Iraqi father and Syrian mother. He is of Assyrian descent. As a child, he was well-known for doing impressions and was known as the “class clown.” He started as a stand-up comedian in 1985 and he defeated Sinbad on Star Search. As a stand-up comic he has opened up for the likes of Bobby Vinton, Richard Belzar(Homocide and Law and Order: SVU), U2 and others. He has played in quite a plethora of movies including Jack The Giant Slayer, but he is best well-known as the voice of The Cryptkeeper from Tales From The Krypt. He also played Meeko the raccoon on Pocahontas and Pocahontas II.

His voice-over and gaming work include Deadpool in X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse as well as Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2, Sonic The Hedgehog, Spider-Man 3, Halo 5: Guardians, etc. He married actress Julia Benz in 1998 and they were married for 9 years until Benz filed for a divorce in 2007. I always remembered his voice from The Cryptkeeper, so memorable, raspy, and high energy.
